38度の熱の中で製作された19曲の楽曲群は、Cool Deep FeelingsやThe COOLsの過去作に多用されたあえて選びたく無い音や組み合わせを選ぶという方向性から一転し、組み合わせの良し悪しや楽曲の構成や音楽としての機能性などを考えるのではなく、ただただ無意識に選び取る（できる限りメロディーやリズムといった音楽的な要素から遠ざけつつ、しかしそれを取り入れるという脱構築的な態度）シュルレアリスム的（細野晴臣が「フィルハーモニー」で行った自動筆記状態に近い）とも呼べる方法論を用いた。罹患状態の制作者本人がその脳内にある無意識をそのまま書き写すという、コンセプトアルバムである。

The nineteen songs, produced in the heat of 38 degrees Celsius, are a complete change from the direction of choosing sounds and combinations of sounds that one does not want to choose, which was often used in the past works of Cool Deep Feelings and The COOLs, and instead of considering the good and bad combinations, the composition of the songs and their functionality as music, the songs are simply chosen from a surrealistic (Haruomi Hosono's "philharmonic") perspective. Instead, he used a methodology that can be called surrealistic (similar to Haruomi Hosono's automatic writing in "Philharmony"), in which he unconsciously selects sounds (a deconstructive attitude of keeping away from musical elements such as melody and rhythm as much as possible, but still incorporating them). It is a concept album in which the creator, who is in a diseased state, transcribes the unconscious in his brain as it is.
